They didn't burn witches. They burned women.
The Persecution Program
The “witch wound” is an inherited, collective trauma which can manifest as fear of being too powerful or successful as a woman, speaking your truth, and trusting your intuition.
They didn't burn witches. They burned women.
The “witches” who were burned and murdered in all sorts of horrendous ways were herbalists, oracles, mystics - mothers and their daughters.
This didn’t happen to some far-off women in history. It happened to us. In many past lifetimes, we - and our female ancestors - were persecuted for using our gifts and shining our light.
This inherited, collective trauma lives inside of us. You may experience it as fear, hardness, pain, shielding, anger, etc.
As a result of the “witch wound,” you may unconsciously dampen your feminine radiance because of the fear that it will happen again, leaving you feeling stuck -unable to express all of who you came here to be.
Fortunately, at this special time on the planet, we are clearing many lifetimes and much energy of abuse, disempowerment, punishment and suppression of the Divine Magical Feminine.
Womb Healing
Recently, my womb decided it was time to clear this energy. She got my attention by cramping, which is a sign she’s holding tension.
We often hold tension in our wombs and our entire pelvic bowl. We feel it most when we're bleeding because we're extra sensitive at that time. But we can experience pain any time our sensitivity is heightened - including if you’re in menopause, like me.
After I got over being a little freaked out by the discomfort, I decided to embrace this as the next stage in my own womb awakening. Here’s what I’ve been doing:
🧡 Daily Body Connection Practice
Sit quietly and connect with your body. Just listen. You’re not trying to fix her. Drop into any pain or tension and notice what comes up. You may make movements and sounds or apply gentle touch to move energy. I highly recommend this practice to build a relationship of trust with your body and connect with her messages.
Clearing My Own Witch Wound
What my womb showed me was an image of rockets firing inside her as if I needed to defend myself. But I was only hurting myself with my weapons. 🔥
I went deeper with my wonderful coach Brenda. She held space for me to connect with my womb, and I felt an energy pushing at my shoulders and the back of my head. Like I had to submit.
We could see me in a tattered dress, hands tied behind my back being forced to the chopping block. So much anguish. We moved a lot of energy - and I was exhausted afterward. I felt much lighter a couple of days later.
I can feel that there’s more to heal, so I continue to invite my womb to soften and release the shielding.
Womb awakening is an ongoing process. But the payoff is worth it to reclaim your womb as your powerful portal of creation.
