What happens when you meditate for 10 days!
I went into meditation for 10 days on a mountain in Costa Rica. That’s not something I thought I would ever do!
I got home on Thanksgiving, and it’s taken me two weeks to process what happened so I could share it with you. I’m unpacking a whole new relationship with several things - meditation, the Land, the Divine, and myself. (Just that!)
I learned that meditation can take you far beyond the practice of quieting your mind. You can actually connect with your Higher Self. I’m used to receiving healing, guidance, and visions in plant medicine ceremonies, but I’d never before experienced these things in meditation!
A theme of this retreat was to connect with our Destiny. Before the retreat, I would have said that I’m here to bring in the return of the Divine Feminine. So, it wasn’t surprising to hear myself saying:
I’m here to usher in the return of the Holy Mother.
What feels magical is that this truth has landed in my heart and my womb. I’m not just saying words. I’m living embodied truth. And that makes all the difference.
It’s very clear to me that we’re calling in the energy of our Divine Mother to be present on Earth along with the energy of our Divine Father - in balance. And that I am in partnership with my husband Russ and the Land.
The Land has its own destiny. Instead of viewing ourselves as owners, we get to be guardians of the Land. You can talk to the Land simply by dropping into your heart and asking for messages. Be open to receiving signs from spirit in that moment, in your dreams or in the coming days.
Another piece I saw for myself personally - and also for those I’m helping - is the importance of building a strong foundation. This means healing our core relationships: with our inner children, our mother and father, our ancestors, and with the Divine.
If you’re new to meditation - or you just have a hard time committing to a practice (which has been my case in the past), here are a few meditation tips:
Get clear on why you’re committing to meditation. For example - to raise your vibration, to find answers inside yourself or to live less from the mind, more connected to your body.
Start with a short practice - even 1 minute - and add time from there.
Choose a time of day when you aren’t feeling like you’re “supposed to” be doing other things.
Put on a soundtrack to support you. Here’s one that I love: Ultimate Om by Jonathan Goldman on Spotify.
If you’d like support in your own foundational healing, From Suppression to Expression is a 4-month transformational container for women. I will guide you to integrate childhood wounding, receive ancestral gifts, and reclaim your deep womb knowing so that you live life fully.
If you’re called to it, plant medicine ceremonies can bring you profound insights and healing. My husband and I are deeply honored to hold safe and sacred space to support you to access the medicine within you. Learn more here.
